Hugh's Haven Day-Care Home for Street Children - Animal Healing
Return to Roots Foundation and Race Against Extinction helped organize that the street children from Hugh’s Haven have a fun day out at Lory Park Sanctuary.
Thanks to the wonderful FCB Advertising Agency in Sandton, these children had a beautiful day meeting the animals and just being children.
Most of these children have never heard of most of the animals, never mind seen them, so many were extremely excited!
It was of course not the traditional education excursion we usually do, as these children have to worry about where they are going to be sleeping the following night.
We did however still sense the appreciation of life and excitement over the beauty. It was an Animal Healing experience for all involved.
The children receive wonderful day-care at Hugh’s Haven, some food, educational toys and shelter during the day.
